Agentic workflows for organizations

Turn your CMS into an agentic workflow platform

SveltyCMS is a headless CMS at the core and an agentic workflow platform in practice. Connect AI agents safely, enrich content with structured AI fields, and automate review and publishing with human approval gates.

What an agentic workflow means here

An agent can read your content model, search the corpus, draft or enrich an entry, and trigger downstream work. It cannot bypass your permissions, publish without approval, or cross a tenant boundary. The CMS is the system of record; the agent is a governed participant.

The building blocks

Read-only MCP access

Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot connect to a hosted MCP server to inspect schemas, search content, and answer questions. No raw database credentials, no write access.

Structured AI fields

AIEnrichment fields turn model output into governed content: summaries, SEO titles, tags, keywords, and translations written into typed fields.

Workflow + approvals

A visual finite-state workflow engine routes drafts to reviewers, enforces approval gates, and publishes only when a human signs off.

Automation scheduler

A database-backed job queue handles scheduled publishing, enrichment, migration, webhooks, and long-running media work without blocking editors.

Governed by default

RBAC, field-level access control, SHA-256 chained audit logs, and tenant isolation apply to agents just like they apply to people.

Privacy-first inference

Run enrichment and image tagging locally through Ollama, or connect the model provider your security team has approved.

Workflows teams run

Content intake and enrichment

An agent reads a brief, drafts the entry, generates an SEO title and summary, and sends it to an editor for review.

Regulated publishing

Legal, compliance, and brand reviewers approve through role-based gates before the entry reaches the public API.

Agency multi-client operations

One deployment serves many tenants; agents work inside a tenant scope and cannot see another client’s content.

Migration and media

An agent maps imported fields, enriches media metadata, and queues batch work without blocking the editorial team.

What stays human

  • Publishing and destructive actions require explicit permissions.
  • Reviewers approve through workflow gates, not chat messages.
  • Every action lands in the SHA-256 chained audit log.
  • Tenant isolation keeps one client’s content out of another’s agent context.

Agentic workflow FAQ

What is an agentic workflow platform?

An agentic workflow platform gives AI agents a governed way to act on business systems. In SveltyCMS, agents can inspect schemas, search content, and assist with enrichment and operations, while permissions, approval gates, audit logs, and tenant isolation decide what they can actually do.

Can AI agents write to SveltyCMS?

The hosted MCP server is read-only by design. Write operations stay behind your normal RBAC and workflow rules: an agent can prepare or enrich content, but publishing requires the same permissions and human approvals as any other author.

Which AI tools work with SveltyCMS?

Any MCP-compatible client can use the hosted endpoint, including Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot-style agents. For content enrichment, SveltyCMS supports local Ollama models and approved external model providers through its AI provider layer.

Does agentic workflow require cloud AI?

No. SveltyCMS supports local inference through Ollama for image tagging, summaries, SEO metadata, and translation. You can keep sensitive content on your own infrastructure or connect an approved provider.

How is this different from a chatbot?

A chatbot answers questions in a chat window. An agentic workflow connects the model to real content structures and real operations, then routes the result through review, permissions, and audit — so the output becomes governed content instead of an untracked message.
